This Brass Thai amulet of Luang Phor Pae of Wat Pikul Thong Temple in Singburi Thailand and Lord Buddha, Phra Somdej.

LP Phor Pae, a Thai Buddhist monk, became the head monk of Wat Pikul Thong Temple when he was only 26 years old in 1931.

The very respected monk was one of only 59 monks to receive the title 'Phra Thammuni', which is a very high ranking monk title, by the king of Thailand in the year 1996.

He passed away at the age of 94 in 1999 and his amulets are still very treasured by the Thai people.

Above him, the sacred Unalome symbol.

The Unalome is a visual representation of the path to enlightenment.

The spiral represents our daily, earthly distractions and struggles.

The spiral gradually becomes a straight line, representing the path of truth to nirvana, to enlightenment.

One side of the amulet depicts Luang Phor Pae, and the other side, Phra Somdej, an image of Lord Buddha in lotus position sitting on a three-level throne representing heaven, people and earth.

This is known as one of the most noblest statues in Buddhism and is used to bring luck, peace and prosperity.

This is a very beautiful amulet, the color of the brass is deep red/brown. The contours of the brass make it reflect orange and red in the light.

It comes in a fitted, water proof protective plastic case and is looped on a faux leather, dark brown braided necklace with a clasp.

The amulet is 2.3cm wide X 3.1cm tall.

The necklace is 47cm or 18.5 inches long.
