By revamping the upper's collar and using a no-sew construction, Asics were able to make this shoe more supportive during quick movements.​ The new sole setup features a 5mm heel drop and TRUSSTIC support unit that are inspired by the SKY ELITE FF 3 shoe. This helps produce better acceleration and more powerful jumps when you're spiking or blocking the ball.
